Zanaco Bank Plc is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank's strategic vision, in the Digital Banking Division under the Digital Banking Division at Digital - Head office:
Role Description
Job Purpose: To lead the Digital Banking Agent and Adoption Sales Strategy in the assigned region to grow and maintain an active portfolio of Agents and active digital banking customers to fulfil the Digital Banking ecosystem development as well as the associated financial performance indicators. The role holder will devise, execute, and deliver beyond banking services into in-store banking services for additional income streams, augmented service offering, improvement of channel traffic and customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Agent & Customer Adoption Growth (50%)
- To develop and drive the Bank’s Digital Agent Sales, Activation and Client Acquisition Sales Strategy execution.
- Foster rural penetration of Digital Banking presence and access through deliberate plans and activities to drive financial inclusion in rural places, farms, and community targeted groups.
- Implementing robust agent distribution network.
- Constantly scan the market to acquire clients and agents.
- Implementing the regional agency banking roll-out plan.
- Constantly scan the market to acquire Agents.
- Identify and take ownership of generating sales opportunities through various events and marketing efforts.
- Aligning the regional business strategy with other business divisions within the bank to leverage on the synergy for bulk payments, client acquisition, and Agent banking channel usage.
- Synergize for Agent and Adoption business growth.
- Alignment of strategy to technology trends and provide competitive responses.
- Identify and take ownership of generating sales opportunities through various events and marketing efforts.
- Delivering increased digital sales on the Agent platform.
- Grow revenue in line with KPIs.
Leadership & Teamwork (30%)

- Monitoring post-acquisition engagement levels with Agents and Clients.
- Monitoring the service level efficiency of Agents in the region.
- Monitoring Direct Sales Agent (DSA) and Trade Development Representative (TDRs) engagement with clients and agents, respectively.
- Manage vendor relations in the assigned region and ensure periodic DSA and TDR training.
Legislative Compliance (10%)
- Conduct a needs analysis to identify customer needs effectively when opening new accounts or giving product advice, in line with the Banking and Financial Services Act.
- Complete disclosure to the customers in terms of accreditation, service fees, and commission.
- Strict adherence to the Know Your Customer (KYC) and other governance processes leading to the onboarding of clients and agents in the region.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits; including English and Mathematics.
- University Degree in a business-related field or relevant professional qualification from a recognized university.
- 5 years of experience in Agent and Channel Adoption or similar role at senior level.

- Good numerical skills and financial acumen to analyse, evaluate and identify trends in complex consolidated financial statements, balance sheets and ratios.
- Good knowledge of financial spreadsheet applications (e.g. Excel) to capture and analyse financial data.
